The Regent of Tabanan, Dr. I Komang Gede Sanjaya, S.E., M.M., personally led the Tabanan Regency Government delegation in the series of bhakti penganyar ceremonies at Pura Mandhara Giri Semeru Agung, Senduro District, Lumajang Regency, East Java, on Saturday (4/7). The presence of this large delegation served as a strong symbol of the regional government's commitment to maintaining sradha (faith) and preserving spiritual values and Hindu traditions outside Bali.
The solemn worship service was attended by a complete lineup ranging from the Vice Regent, Regional Secretary, members of the Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD), heads of vertical agencies, to hundreds of State Civil Apparatus (ASN) within the Tabanan Regency Government. This high level of enthusiasm reflected a collective dedication to fulfilling religious obligations at one of the largest Hindu temples in East Java.
Before the main ritual began, the Chairperson of the Tabanan Regency Family Welfare Movement (TP PKK), Mrs. Rai Wahyuni Sanjaya, participated in the sacred procession by performing the Rejang Tridatu Dance. The performance, presented with sincere devotion, served as a tangible form of dedication while fostering the spirit of 'ngayah'—selfless voluntary service—which forms the philosophical foundation of Balinese life.
In his speech, Regent Sanjaya emphasized that the presence of the Tabanan Regency Government delegation was not merely a routine agenda, but a comprehensive effort to harmonize the physical (sekala) and spiritual (niskala) aspects of life. He also expressed appreciation for the unity of all elements of Tabanan society, who continuously maintain harmony and the spirit of devotion across various regions in Indonesia.
The management of Pura Mandhara Giri Semeru Agung, through the Chairman of PHDI Lumajang, Teguh Widodo, expressed high appreciation to the Tabanan Regency Government. He noted that the delegation from Tabanan was one of the most complete and consistent in carrying out the bhakti penganyar obligations, which further strengthens the bonds of brotherhood between the Balinese people and the local Hindu community.
