PT Krakatau Bandar Samudera (KBS) ensures that business collaboration opportunities with the new entity resulting from the merger of PT Krakatau Jasa Logistik (KJL) remain wide open. This consolidation, involving six logistics companies owned by State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) at the end of June 2026, is projected to expand market reach and strengthen synergies in the national logistics sector.
PT KBS Assistant Director of Commercial and Business Development, Hanif Wijaya, explained that this integration is designed to create significant added value. According to him, this merger does not merely combine business portfolios, but expands market penetration from a regional scale to a national scale, while simultaneously increasing the competitiveness of the country's logistics industry.
In this restructuring process, PT Multi Terminal Indonesia (MTI) has been designated as the surviving entity. Consequently, PT KJL has legally merged entirely. All rights, obligations, and assets owned by KJL are now automatically transferred under the banner of PT MTI as the new controlling entity.
The post-merger shareholding scheme places PT Pelindo Sinergi Lokaseva as the majority shareholder with a share of approximately 74 percent. Meanwhile, PT KBS holds a minority ownership of 9 percent in PT MTI, converted from the valuation of PT KJL during the merger transaction worth Rp233.48 billion. The management of this new entity is run through a joint control scheme between PT MTI and PT Pos Indonesia.
Hanif emphasized that this corporate action will not disrupt the ongoing business partnerships between PT KBS and PT KJL. All active operational cooperation contracts will continue under the coordination of PT MTI. This efficiency measure is also expected to reduce management bureaucracy overlaps to deliver more competitive logistics services for service users.
Regarding human resources, all former PT KJL employees have been officially transferred to PT MTI, with employment rights guaranteed. On the other hand, the board of directors of PT KJL has returned to the parent company to take on new duties, including Hanif Wijaya, who previously served as President Director of KJL and is now back at PT KBS.
For information, this integration is part of the government's strategic mandate through the establishment of PT Danantara Aset Management (DAM). This policy of unifying logistics SOEs is one of the national priority programs contained in the Company Work Plan and Budget (RKAP) for the Year 2026 to achieve national supply chain efficiency.
