The Tangerang Regency Health Office (Dinkes) continues to intensify medical response efforts for residents affected by the fire at the Jatiwaringin Landfill (TPA) in Mauk District. As of Friday (July 3, 2026), health mitigation measures are still being thoroughly carried out to anticipate the risk of respiratory disorders and other adverse impacts from exposure to residual smoke.
As a rapid response hub, local health authorities have established several posts at strategic locations in residential areas. These facilities provide free medical treatment, access to oxygen concentrators, and emergency medical care for residents reporting health issues.
In addition to services at the posts, medical teams are conducting a proactive outreach strategy through direct home visits. The primary focus of this preventive action is targeted at vulnerable groups, including toddlers, pregnant women, and the elderly, who have limited mobility to visit health centers independently.
Alongside medical services, the Health Office is also distributing masks on a massive scale to the public and providing vitamin packages for the joint task force working on the ground. Education on the importance of Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS) and the proper use of masks continues to be socialized through the installation of various information media at strategic locations.
The Health Office reiterated its commitment to keep medical personnel and facilities on alert around the Jatiwaringin Landfill. This standby status will be maintained until the situation is declared conducive and the air quality in the area returns to safe limits for public health.
