The Vietnamese dancesport team achieved a proud milestone by clinching the overall championship title at the 2026 Asian DanceSport Championship. This prestigious championship, attended by athletes and coaches from 32 countries, served as a proving ground for Vietnamese dancers who successfully gathered a total of 21 gold, 9 silver, and 14 bronze medals.

Vietnam's dominance was clearly visible in the couples category, where athletes secured 5 gold medals. Impressive performances from the duos Phan Hien – Thu Huong and Anh Minh – Truong Xuan were the main highlights after both pairs claimed two gold medals each for the hosts. Athlete Anh Minh revealed that this achievement was the result of long-term training dedication and great motivation to face challenges at higher levels.

In addition to the couples category, Vietnam's female solo athletes also made history. Hoang Ngoc delivered a stellar performance by sweeping 6 gold medals in the Youth category, followed by Le Mai Thu's dominance in the Junior category with 5 gold medals. In the Junior II category, Nguyen An Nhien and Hoang Misaki also contributed medals, reinforcing the quality of dancesport athlete development in Vietnam.
