The Bogor Regency Government is taking strategic steps to revitalize the Gunung Mas Rest Area in the Puncak area. This policy was made following complaints from traders about the low number of visitors so far.

Bogor Regent, Rudy Susmanto, explained that the main obstacle causing the area to be quiet is the lack of accessible entry for large tour buses. Therefore, the administration has decided to demolish part of the shop-house buildings to widen the entrance, allowing the bus fleet to be directly integrated into the area.

In addition to physical restructuring, the Bogor Regency Government also plans to relocate the Cisarua Police Station into the rest area. This move aims to centralize the coordination of the open-close traffic engineering system on the Puncak route, so that vehicles caught in the traffic flow can be directed to the rest area as a representative waiting location.

Regarding funding, Rudy emphasized that this development project will not burden the regional budget (APBD). The local government is committed to embracing investors through collaboration with the regional state-owned enterprise (BUMD) Sayaga Wisata to find creative solutions in financing the expansion and optimization of this strategic tourism area.
