The Jambi City Government continues to strengthen its commitment to creating a conducive investment climate for business actors. This step is expected to serve as a catalyst for regional economic growth while creating new job opportunities for local residents.
This commitment was reflected in the inauguration of the Yonex Sport Center located in the Pasir Putih area on Friday (07/03/2026). The inauguration ceremony was attended directly by the Vice Mayor of Jambi, Diza Hazra Aljosha, alongside the Vice Minister of Home Affairs, Dr. Akhmad Wilyagus, and the Vice Minister of Youth and Sports, Taufik Hidayat.
In his opening remarks, Vice Mayor Diza expressed appreciation for the business owners' courage to invest in the sports sector. According to him, the presence of a physical store like Yonex Sport Center offers a more authentic shopping experience for the public compared to online transactions. This is believed to contribute positively to Regional Original Revenue (PAD).
Furthermore, Diza emphasized that the Jambi City Government is very open to national and international investors looking to collaborate on city development. He hopes that the opening of this outlet will spark interest among other entrepreneurs to develop similar business lines, given the strong enthusiasm of the Jambi City community for badminton.
Echoing these sentiments, Vice Minister of Youth and Sports Taufik Hidayat welcomed Yonex's network expansion in the region. The Indonesian badminton legend believes that easy access to quality sports equipment will have a direct impact on nurturing young athletes and fostering new talent for future achievements.
The presence of Yonex Sport Center is now expected not merely to serve as a commercial hub, but also as a strategic partner for the Jambi City Government in advancing the sports sector and strengthening Jambi City's position as a developing services center working toward a better urban development vision.
