Universitas Bina Sarana Informatika (UBSI) Pontianak Campus is increasingly serious about integrating an entrepreneurial spirit into its academic ecosystem. Through the BSI Entrepreneur Center (BEC), the campus known as the "Creative Digital Campus" seeks to change student mindsets from merely being job seekers to becoming job creators.

The vision of "Become an Entrepreneur Before Graduation" serves as the main foundation of this movement. The program is designed to eliminate students' doubts about starting a business by providing comprehensive guidance, ranging from digital marketing training and business coaching to intensive mentoring from professional practitioners with experience in their fields.

Nurmalasari, Coordinator of BEC UBSI Pontianak Campus, emphasized that the essence of this mentoring is to foster courage. According to her, many business opportunities are missed simply due to a lack of courage to start. BEC is here to facilitate students' fresh ideas so they can be tested in the real world, whether through campus bazaars, business idea competitions, or national-scale events such as the KMI Expo.

The direct practical approach applied has proven effective in building a business mindset. By being directly involved in managing promotions, consumer research, and financial bookkeeping, students gain empirical experience that cannot be obtained solely through classroom theory. This is proven by the large number of UBSI students who have successfully secured funding through the Entrepreneurial Student Development Program (P2MW).

Amid today's fierce competition in the job market, this UBSI initiative is a strategic step in equipping the younger generation with adaptive competencies. By building an ecosystem that supports creativity and innovation, UBSI graduates are expected not only to be ready to compete globally but also to make real contributions to strengthening the country's creative economy.
