Through the innovative development of Chemical Enhanced Oil Recovery (CEOR) technology using the PHR24 surfactant product, the company seeks to optimize production efficiency in mature or old oil fields.
CEOR technology works by utilizing special chemical formulations designed to improve oil sweep efficiency within the reservoir. This strategic step not only aims to pursue national oil and gas production targets, but also represents a tangible manifestation of the company's transformation in presenting high value-added solutions in the field of specialty chemicals for the country's energy industry.
In its production ecosystem, this innovation was born from close collaboration between Pertamina's subsidiaries. The technical team of Pertamina Hulu Rokan (PHR) formulated the product based on reservoir characteristic specifications, while PT Pertamina Lubricants carries out critical functions in the blending and production processes to ensure consistent product quality.
As a concrete form of commitment, Pertamina Lubricants' management has directly reviewed the implementation of using 3,400 MT of PHR24 surfactant at the Minas Area-A Site, Pertamina Hulu Rokan. Vice President of Corporate Strategy & Business Development, Abdul Hafid Rasjid, emphasized that this synergy proves that domestic innovation can have a significant impact on upstream oil and gas operational performance.
