A total of 82 micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) players spread across 19 villages in Subang Regency participated in an intensive business development program. Supported by the Indonesian Technology Innovation Foundation (INOTEK) in collaboration with the 'Sampoerna untuk Indonesia' program, this initiative aims to strengthen the capacity of business owners, especially in the food and beverage sector, to be more competitive in a wider market.
Participants were provided with a comprehensive curriculum covering the development of an entrepreneurial mindset, legal aspects of business, and the optimization of current technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI). The mentoring method combined online and offline sessions to ensure that every entrepreneur could formulate standard operating procedures (SOPs) and marketing strategies relevant to current market trends.
Vice Regent of Subang, Agus Masykur Rosyadi, emphasized the importance of collaboration between the private sector and the government in accelerating the local economy. He deemed this step as concrete support for strengthening the foundations of MSMEs, going beyond basic training to touch upon more advanced aspects of business development.
INOTEK Executive Director, Ivi Anggraeni, emphasized that the main indicator of the program's success lies in its actual implementation in the field. She hopes all participants can integrate the training materials into their daily operations to increase efficiency and the market reach of their products.
The positive impact of the program is already being felt by the business owners. Leni Mariyani, owner of Dakey House, revealed that the mentoring allowed her to define her target market and product value proposition more sharply. Consequently, the optimized strategies successfully boosted her business turnover by up to 25 percent in a short time.
