Lecturer at the Faculty of Public Health (FKM) at Hasanuddin University, Prof. Dr. Anwar Daud, S.K.M., M.Kes., emphasized the crucial role of the Faculty of Engineering in designing eco-friendly technological solutions. He stated this while serving as a speaker at a talk show titled “Integrated Green Engineering Solutions for Global Resilience” held at the Unhas Hotel on Sunday (5/7).
In his presentation, Prof. Anwar highlighted the importance of implementing the concepts of Green in ICT and Green by ICT. He explained that utilizing artificial intelligence (AI), data analytics, and integrating advanced sensors forms the primary foundation for creating systems capable of effectively detecting, monitoring, and mitigating environmental damage impacts.
Furthermore, he compared the effectiveness of conventional environmental monitoring methods with modern approaches. According to him, the use of cutting-edge technology enables broader, faster, integrated monitoring processes with a significantly higher level of adaptability compared to traditional methods.
Concluding his session, Prof. Anwar expressed hope that these innovations could address various future environmental challenges. He is optimistic that strengthening technology-based monitoring systems will be a concrete solution to support more sustainable global environmental resilience.
