Chairman of Commission I of the Bogor City DPRD, Sugeng Teguh Santoso, officially received an audience from the Bogor Raya Revolutionary Students Federation (FMR) at the Bogor City DPRD Building on Thursday (2/7/2026). This meeting became a platform for students to voice concerns regarding regional governance, which is alleged to be rife with abuse of authority.
Sugeng paid special attention to reports of the use of state assets, namely official operational cars, by civilians or certain mass organizations (ormas). He assessed this phenomenon as an indication of an unnatural relationship between bureaucrats and certain groups, which has the potential to harm public interests for the benefit of specific groups.
Regarding other crucial issues, namely the alleged conditioning of the DPRD's Pokir (legislators' constituency proposals) and gratification practices, the politician familiarly known as STS challenged the students to present valid evidence. Sugeng emphasized that he would not hesitate to take legal action on these findings, provided that the supporting data presented is concrete and accountable.
In addition to the council's internal issues, the dialogue also highlighted the chaotic state of the public transportation sector in Bogor City, including the controversy surrounding Biskita operations and the fate of local angkot (minivan) operators. Sugeng stressed that every regional policy should prioritize the welfare of the public and transport operators, rather than generating greater profits for third parties or private companies.
As a follow-up step, Commission I of the Bogor City DPRD has scheduled a meeting to summon BKPSDM (Personnel Agency) and Bapenda (Revenue Agency) for a thorough clarification. This step was taken as a form of legislative commitment to maintaining government transparency and ensuring that the use of state facilities remains within the applicable legal corridors.
