The leadership relay at the Muhammadiyah Ahmad Dahlan Hospital in Kediri City has officially begun. Mayor of Kediri, Vinanda Prameswati, personally attended the inauguration and handover ceremony for the Director of Muhammadiyah Ahmad Dahlan Hospital for the 2026–2030 period on Sunday (8/2/2026). During the ceremony, drg. Opy Ellafrina officially assumed the new responsibility, succeeding the previous director, dr. Zainul Arifin.

In her address, Mayor Vinanda expressed her deep appreciation for the dedication of dr. Zainul Arifin, who successfully led the hospital during his tenure. She also congratulated drg. Opy Ellafrina on her new appointment, expressing hope that this new leadership will bring positive and progressive changes to the quality of healthcare services in Kediri City.

Vinanda emphasized that the true essence of healthcare lies not merely in grand physical infrastructure or sophisticated medical equipment, but in the humanitarian aspect. According to her, friendliness, care, and empathy from all medical staff when serving patients are the primary keys to a hospital's quality. These values characterize Muhammadiyah's humanitarian outreach through the healthcare sector.

Furthermore, she noted that the challenges of the modern healthcare world are becoming increasingly complex alongside rapid technological advancements and dynamic patterns of disease spread. Therefore, Vinanda encouraged the management of Muhammadiyah Ahmad Dahlan Hospital under its new leadership to remain adaptive and foster new innovations, without ever sidelining the humanistic side of community service.

Closing her remarks, the Mayor of Kediri invited all stakeholders, from healthcare institutions and academics to the business sector, to strengthen collaboration to realize Kediri's vision of healthy and independent development (MAPAN). The inauguration ceremony was also attended by the Kediri City leadership coordination forum (Forkopimda), regional and local leaders of Muhammadiyah East Java, as well as local community figures.
