The 2026 Bojonegoro Regency Sports Week (Porkab) II event has reached a crucial stage. The football branch has now reached the final match, which will pit the team from Balen District against Ngraho District at Letjen H. Soedirman Stadium on Tuesday (7/7/2026) at 15:00 WIB.

Both teams reached the final after a hard-fought battle in the semifinals. Balen District secured their spot after edging out Baureno District with a narrow 2-1 score. On the other hand, Ngraho District had to fight hard through a penalty shootout drama, winning 3-2 over Kepohbaru District after drawing 1-1 in normal time.

Vice Chairman of the National Sports Committee of Indonesia (KONI) Bojonegoro Regency, Tonny Ade Irawan, stated that the return of the football discipline in Porkab II this time was enthusiastically welcomed with the participation of 16 districts. Football has become one of the main attractions amidst the fiercely competitive medal race among contingents.

As of Monday (6/7/2026), Bojonegoro District still dominates the temporary standings with 14 gold medals, followed by Dander, Kapas, and Trucuk districts. KONI emphasized that these standings are still temporary, given that many other sports branches, such as Muay Thai and Kickboxing, are still being contested until the event's closing on July 11, 2026.

Porkab II Bojonegoro itself is a large-scale sporting event involving 3,553 athletes from 28 districts. Contested across 27 sports branches at 11 venues, the event is expected to serve as a platform for nurturing local athletic talent while strengthening brotherhood among residents through the spirit of sportsmanship.
