Bogor Regency has once again introduced a new nature tourism destination for adventure lovers. Mount Khayangan Cipamingkis, located in the Sukamakmur area, is now becoming a favorite choice, especially for beginner hikers who want to enjoy the sensation of climbing without facing extreme terrain. The hiking trail of this mountain was officially opened to the public in October 2025.
Situated at an altitude of approximately 1,420 meters above sea level (masl), Mount Khayangan offers a relatively friendly route. The distance from the initial registration post to the summit is only about 2.5 kilometers. The trail, dominated by gentle slopes, makes this destination ideal for family recreation, communities, and hikers who are just starting out in the hobby.
Upon reaching the summit, the exhaustion of the journey will be rewarded with a mesmerizing view of Sukamakmur's signature valleys and green hills. This destination is also a favorite spot for sunrise hunters. The morning atmosphere is often adorned with thin fog and refreshing cool air, offering a dramatic and soothing natural landscape away from urban fatigue.
Administratively, Mount Khayangan is located in the Cipamingkis area, Sukamakmur District, Bogor Regency, West Java. Its location is integrated with the Puncak Dua Jonggol tourism route, which is famous for other natural attractions such as Curug Cipamingkis and Villa Khayangan. To enjoy all this beauty, visitors only need to pay an entrance ticket of IDR 35,000 per person, which already includes the conservation area entry permit (Simaksi).
The management has also provided adequate supporting facilities for the comfort of visitors. These facilities include a spacious parking area, registration post, trail markers, rest areas, clean toilets at the starting point of the hike, and local food stalls owned by nearby residents ready to serve warm food to hikers.
