An Phat Science and Technology Co., Ltd. has recorded a significant achievement in downstream agricultural processing through the application of advanced technologies. Since late 2024, the Viet Xuyen Commune-based company has successfully developed a line of instant tea and tea bag products based on young rice sprouts and centella asiatica. This provincial-level project is designed to boost the economic value of local raw materials while absorbing the local workforce.
Director of An Phat Science, Le Van An, revealed that the biggest challenge in developing this product was maintaining the nutritional integrity, color, and natural flavor of the raw materials during the production process. To overcome this, the company shifted from conventional drying methods to controlled-temperature heat pump technology (50-55 degrees Celsius). This innovation ensures heat-sensitive active components maintain their quality before further processing.
For the instant tea variant, the company applied more complex extraction and centrifugation techniques. Through a spray drying process and the addition of maltodextrin, the final product achieves high solubility without losing its original botanical characteristics. The entire series of processes has undergone strict laboratory testing, including microbiological monitoring to nutritional analysis such as vitamin and essential fatty acid content.
In addition to focusing on technical research, the company has also taken strategic commercialization steps. With trademark protection approved by the Intellectual Property Office, An Phat Science is currently formulating a broad marketing strategy, ranging from clean agricultural product retail networks to expansion into various e-commerce platforms.
This success was appreciated by the local Department of Science Management as tangible proof of successful technology transfer. The business's ability to master this production chain is considered an important foundation for the region in realizing an innovation-based food processing industry. Moving forward, the company plans to develop self-managed cultivation areas, including hydroponic models, to ensure a sustainable supply of high-quality raw materials for future products.
