The Provincial Board (Pengprov) of the Indonesian Pencak Silat Association (IPSI) East Java continues to strengthen the pencak silat ecosystem through a sustainable coach and judge regeneration program. This strategic move is taken as a concrete effort to maintain achievement quality while preserving the noble cultural values of Indonesia's native martial art.

As a demonstration of this commitment, IPSI East Java organized the Pencak Silat Festival Coach and Judge Training event held in Malang for two days, from July 11 to 12, 2026. A total of 115 participants representing regency/city IPSI branch boards and various silat schools across East Java attended to undergo intensive preparation.

Event Committee Chairman, Parso Adiyanto, revealed that the training material covered updates on festival judging regulations, modern coaching techniques, and the reinforcement of traditional cultural values. He added that the majority of participants are experienced practitioners, including former athletes who have competed on the world stage, who possess high dedication to continuously improving their capabilities.

Furthermore, Parso emphasized that this program is not merely theoretical. Post-training, participants will be immediately deployed to the field to apply the knowledge gained across a series of pencak silat championships and festivals scheduled to take place throughout East Java in the near future.
