TULUNGAGUNG – The presence of police officers in the community was once again optimized by the Karangrejo Police Sector, Tulungagung Regency. This was realized through public security and order maintenance patrols (Harkamtibmas) along with tight security at the traditional jaranan art performance held in Bungur Village on Saturday (11/07/2026).

During the security operation, the Kijang 02 team from the Karangrejo Police, led by the Supervisory Officer (Bawas) along with four personnel, was deployed to the field. Their main focus was to create a safe environment by conducting intensive monitoring around the performance area, while also performing preventive duties to deter crime, especially aggravated theft (curat), robbery (curas), and motor vehicle theft (curanmor).

In addition to maintaining order, officers on the ground actively managed the flow of spectator mobility and provided public security advice. The public was urged to remain vigilant of their belongings and to immediately report to officers if they notice any signs of security disturbances at the event location.

Karangrejo Police Chief, Police Inspector First Class (IPTU) Medianto, emphasized that the presence of police at public entertainment events is a form of the National Police's (Polri) commitment to providing a sense of safety and comfort for the community. According to him, any event that attracts crowds requires special attention to prevent friction or potential public order disturbances.

"We are fully committed to ensuring that every series of community activities runs smoothly, orderly, and peacefully. Synergy between the police and the community is crucial in maintaining environmental stability so that public entertainment can be enjoyed in a pleasant atmosphere for all residents," said IPTU Medianto.

Thanks to the prompt security measures and good collaboration between the police force and the organizing committee, the jaranan performance in Bungur Village was reported to have concluded safely and smoothly without any significant disturbances.
