Personnel from the Cartenz-2026 Peace Operations Task Force (Satgas) are intensifying their humanistic approach in the highlands of Central Papua. In Sinak District, Puncak Regency, security forces are not only patrolling to maintain peace in the region, but also interacting directly with residents through dialogic patrols and the provision of free health services.
The Head of Cartenz-2026 Peace Operations, Police Inspector General Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, explained that this patrol mission is designed to listen directly to the aspirations and grievances of the local community. According to him, the presence of officers on the ground aims to provide a sense of security and a space for residents to share the social dynamics they face daily.
During the operation, the team traveled along vital routes connecting villages in Sinak District, including crossing suspension bridges and hilly areas that serve as mobility paths for residents. Alongside monitoring the area, the task force's medical personnel were also prompt in providing basic health checks and education on healthy living behaviors to the community.
Deputy Head of Cartenz-2026 Peace Operations, Police Commissioner Adarma Sinaga, added that this active interaction serves as an early detection measure against potential disturbances to public order and security (kamtibmas). This humanistic initiative was welcomed by local residents, including Yonas Wenda, who expressed feeling safer and assisted by the presence and attentiveness of the officers in their village.
