The Jogja Brand and Business Awards (JBBA) 2026 event returns with a new, more comprehensive vision. Unlike its predecessor, the Jogja Business and Business Index (JBBI), which focused on profit growth, JBBA 2026 now integrates social impact and environmental preservation as key indicators of an organization's success.

Nugroho Nurcahyo, a member of the JBBA 2026 Research Team, emphasized that healthy economic growth must be able to provide long-term benefits for future generations. Carrying the theme "Smartly Cultured, Sustainably Driven", resource management efficiency and social responsibility are absolute requirements for organizations seeking recognition.

This year's assessment is divided into three strategic pillars: sustainable economy, education, and culture. These three sectors are considered mutually intersecting; education plays a role in human resource capacity building, culture preserves local identity, while a sustainable economy ensures consistent and ethical growth.

The culmination of JBBA 2026 is scheduled to take place on July 15, 2026, at the Kasultanan Ballroom, Royal Ambarrukmo Yogyakarta. The organizers hope that this award will not merely be a symbol of achievement, but will inspire business actors and public institutions to adopt growth strategies that are more responsible toward society and the environment.
