Coordinating Minister for Community Empowerment (Menko PM), Abdul Muhaimin Iskandar, expressed high appreciation for the healthcare service standards at Prof. Dr. I.G.N.G. Ngoerah Central General Hospital (RSUP) in Denpasar. During his visit on Wednesday (8/7/2026), he emphasized that every BPJS Kesehatan and BPJS Ketenagakerjaan participant is entitled to fair medical treatment, regardless of membership status or contribution assistance program received.

Muhaimin stated that the National Health Insurance (JKN) system is a tangible manifestation of the nation's spirit of mutual assistance. According to him, the synergy between hospitals and social security providers has successfully eased the financial burden on the community, especially for patients with catastrophic medical conditions requiring high treatment costs, such as heart disease and kidney failure.

On that occasion, he also highlighted the importance of protection through BPJS Ketenagakerjaan. He gave an illustration of a patient who successfully received Work Accident Benefit (JKK) coverage of up to Rp1.7 billion. This serves as concrete proof of how crucial social security participation is for workers to guarantee their future livelihood and health.

Responding to the visit, the Director of Medical and Nursing Care at RSUP Prof. Dr. I.G.N.G. Ngoerah, I Made Darma Jaya, reaffirmed his commitment to maintaining service integrity. The hospital has even provided a dedicated, standardized polyclinic building to ensure all BPJS patients receive comfort and service quality equivalent to other general patients.

As a form of professional commitment, the hospital management ensures that upgrades to physical facilities and the quality of medical staff will continue. This aligns with the national goal of realizing inclusive health access for all levels of society, leaving no room for discriminatory practices within state-owned healthcare facilities.
