Jakarta became the stage for a strategic collaboration between the digital ecosystem and the international sports industry through the HGI Football Party 2026 event held at fX Sudirman on Sunday (12/7/2026). Initiated by the Higgs Games Island (HGI) platform, the event successfully captured public attention by presenting Portuguese football legend Luís Figo.
The presence of the 2000 Ballon d’Or winner was not merely a ceremonial visit. Figo is projected to be an inspirational figure capable of motivating Indonesia's young generation to sharpen their tactical acumen and strategic decision-making skills, which are the core essence of mind sports.
HGI representative, Ray, emphasized that the strategic aspects Figo displayed on the pitch shared similarities with the mindset required in competitive digital games. Through this event, HGI aims to prove that traditional games such as dominoes can now transform into an honorably recognized and competitive sport, thanks to support from KORMINAS and local governments.
In addition to the #JugglingBolaHGI offline competition session directly involving Luís Figo alongside eight young finalists, the event was also designed to strengthen a healthy and regulatory-compliant digital ecosystem. The synergy involving the DKI Jakarta Youth and Sports Department (Dispora) and various youth organizations represents a concrete step in advancing the technology-based sports industry in Indonesia.
Throughout 2026, HGI continues to demonstrate its commitment to making history through various national-scale tournaments, including the HGI City Cup, which has been successfully held in Makassar, Surabaya, and Jakarta.
