The Lampung Provincial Government is leveraging the momentum of the 2026 World Cup football tournament to stimulate the local economy. Through public screening (nobar) events held in the PKOR Way Halim Creative and Art Market area, Bandar Lampung, the government aims to empower and open markets for local Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).

The Regional Secretary of Lampung Province, Marindo Kurniawan, explained that this initiative is a follow-up to instructions from the Minister of Home Affairs. Full support has been provided since the start of the tournament up to the semifinal round, with public participation and enthusiasm continuously showing a positive trend.

Far from just offering free entertainment for residents, these public screenings are intentionally designed to create new hubs of activity. With crowds gathering, local vendors and creative industry players gain a major opportunity to market their products, allowing money circulation at the grassroots level to run more optimally.

As the pinnacle of the festivities, the Lampung Provincial Government will collaborate with the Bandar Lampung City Government to host a public screening of the final match next Sunday night. The main event is planned to be centered at the Adipura Monument to reach a wider public audience and deliver a greater economic impact for surrounding vendors.
