The Mayor of Tanjungpinang, Lis Darmansyah, officially opened the Health Sector Posyandu Capacity Building Orientation for healthcare workers across Community Health Centers (Puskesmas) in Tanjungpinang City. The event, held at the Aston Hotel, is scheduled to run for four days from July 6 to July 9, 2026.
In his address, Lis emphasized the importance of reflecting on the experience of the COVID-19 pandemic as a crucial momentum to strengthen the regional health resilience system. He assessed that today's healthcare system demands rapid adaptation to deliver quality services that are responsive to the dynamic needs of the community.
The transformation of primary healthcare services is the main focus of this agenda. Lis explained that current health challenges are highly complex, ranging from non-communicable diseases, tuberculosis, stunting or malnutrition issues, to maternal and child health. According to him, the integration of primary services is not merely a merging of systems, but a tangible commitment to bringing preventive and promotive access closer to the sub-district level.
Furthermore, the Mayor invited all elements, including healthcare workers and related stakeholders, to break down sectoral silos and collaborate synergistically. The primary focus is to ensure that every resident of Tanjungpinang receives fast, easy, and quality health services.
During the orientation period, participants will receive in-depth guidance from expert speakers regarding health transformation policies, effective communication strategies, and inclusive Posyandu governance for all age groups. The series of activities will conclude with the formulation of a follow-up action plan so that the training results can be immediately implemented in the field.
