Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) Station has recorded a significant passenger growth trend since officially starting operations on June 22, 2026. The latest data from KAI Commuter shows a surge in user volume of up to 300 percent on weekends compared to weekdays, reflecting high public enthusiasm for transport accessibility in the area.
VP Corporate Secretary of KAI Commuter, Karina Amanda, explained that this increase is dominated by residents making the JIS area a primary destination for sports and family recreation. Passenger movement trends tend to remain stable on weekdays with an average of 250 people per day, but that figure spikes drastically upon entering holidays.
Based on data recap for the period of June 22-28, 2026, a total of 4,203 passenger movements were recorded. The highest record occurred on Sunday (28/6), where the station served 1,271 passengers in a single day. As an effort to attract public interest, the special Rp1 fare program for the Tanjung Priok-JIS line also proved effective, with 1,232 users having utilized the facility during the first week of operation.
Responding to this achievement, KAI Commuter is committed to continuing to improve service quality through intensive coordination with the government. In addition to facility development, management also appeals to all users to participate in maintaining station facilities and infrastructure to ensure operational comfort for the public in the long term.
