Students of Field Learning Practice (PBL) I from the Faculty of Public Health (FKM), Hasanuddin University, stationed at the Lalebata Village Post, Sidenreng Rappang Regency, officially began their community service series with an Initial Seminar on Monday (6/7). The meeting, held in the Lalebata Village Office Hall, serves as a strategic step to map out health challenges faced by local residents.
Coordinator of the Lalebata Village Post, Muh. Fairul Zaky Safaatullah, revealed that his team is currently focusing on the identification and problem prioritization stage. According to him, work programs are not prepared haphazardly, but tailored to the urgent needs of the community so that the benefits can be felt sustainably and significantly contribute to improving the health status of residents.
This mapping process involves integrating primary and secondary data, ranging from household profile data collection to identifying individual health conditions in the field. The collected data is then combined with input from the village government and local community leaders through an interactive discussion session that concluded the seminar.
Responding to this initiative, the representative of the Head of Lalebata Village, Hartini, S.Sos., expressed her appreciation and hopes. She emphasized the importance of cross-sector synergy between students, the village government, and healthcare workers so that the designed programs can become concrete solutions to health issues in the area, while also strengthening social collaboration within the community.
