PT Nindya Karya (Persero) has officially inaugurated the Sekolah Rakyat educational facility in Medan, coinciding with the start of the School Orientation Period (MPLS) for the 2026/2027 Academic Year. This project marks an important milestone in the government's efforts to accelerate equal access to quality education across the country.
The completion of Phase II construction covers 20 strategic regions across Indonesia, including areas categorized as Underdeveloped, Frontier, and Outermost (3T). This integrated educational complex is comprehensively designed for primary through secondary education levels, supported by ancillary facilities such as student dormitories, teacher apartments, and places of worship.
One of the main highlights of this infrastructure is the availability of facilities supporting holistic learning. The educational complex on Jalan Flamboyan II, Medan, is now equipped with green open spaces and international-standard sports facilities, including a FIFA-standard football field and basketball courts. In addition, the area implements a sustainable environmental management system to create a conducive learning atmosphere.
Minister of Public Works, Dody Hanggodo, stated that providing robust educational infrastructure is a crucial step in nurturing superior human resources. The construction of Sekolah Rakyat is part of the National Strategic Projects aimed at ensuring every child in the nation has an equal opportunity to receive proper education services.
Nindya Karya's success in completing this construction received positive appreciation from students, educators, and parents alike. By integrating the latest construction technology and execution efficiency, Sekolah Rakyat is expected to become an educational ecosystem capable of inspiring the learning spirit of Indonesia's younger generation in the future.
