The Nabire Regency Government officially introduced its latest digital innovation called Sea Market for Economy for Rakyat Unggul or SEMERU in short. The launch of this platform took place in the Hall of the Nabire Regional Planning, Development, Research, and Innovation Agency (Baperida) Office on Thursday (7/2/2026).

The SEMERU application was designed as a strategic change project to address economic challenges faced by coastal communities. Through a collaborative approach, the local government seeks to strengthen local economic governance while providing broader access for residents to improve their standard of living.

This application is expected to be a concrete solution in the Nabire Regency Government's efforts to reduce poverty rates. With the digitalization of the coastal economic sector, the distribution of marine products and local commodities is expected to run more efficiently, transparently, and competitively in a wider market.
