The celebration of the 81st anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia and the 81st anniversary of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia was welcomed with great enthusiasm by the ranks of the Makassar District Court (PN). This festivity was marked by the official opening of the internal Sports and Arts Week (Porseni) in the courtyard of the Makassar District Court Office on Friday (24/7/2026).
The opening ceremony began with a report from the Committee Chairman, Arif Wisaksono, who outlined the technical preparations for the competition. He also invited all court officials to actively participate while maintaining sportsmanship and a spirit of togetherness throughout the competition.
The Chief of the Makassar District Court, I Wayan Gede Rumega, who officially opened the event, emphasized that this arena is not just about pursuing victory. According to him, Porseni is designed as a forum for gathering to strengthen the sense of family and solidarity within the Makassar District Court work environment.
He added that this activity is expected to be an effective means of refreshing for employees amidst their busy routines and responsibilities of serving the community. Through sports and arts, values of discipline, mutual respect, and teamwork are expected to be continuously nurtured.
As a sign of the start of Porseni, balloons were released into the air by the Chief of the Makassar District Court, accompanied by judges and structural officials. The series of competitions, scheduled to run until August 18, 2026, will feature various branches, ranging from performance sports such as lawn tennis, table tennis, and volleyball, to traditional and creative competitions like fashion shows, dominoes, and room cleanliness.
