PANGKALPINANG – To strengthen relationships and enhance synergy between institutions, the Class IIA Narcotics Correctional Institution (Lapas) of Pangkalpinang held a friendly badminton match with the Class II Special Juvenile Detention Center (LPKA) of Pangkalpinang. The event, which took place at the HBI Sports Hall (GOR) in Pangkalpinang on Saturday (25/7/2026), was enthusiastically attended by staff members from both Technical Implementation Units (UPT).
This sports match was designed not only to find a winner, but as a forum to foster sportsmanship, togetherness, and integrity among correctional officers. A warm and familial atmosphere enveloped the entire match, bringing the employees together in a healthy competition.
Head of the Class IIA Narcotics Prison of Pangkalpinang, Novriadi, explained that the joint sports activity plays an important role in maintaining the physical fitness of the employees. Beyond that, this momentum is considered effective for facilitating communication channels and cross-sector coordination in carrying out daily duties.
"Harmonious collaboration between work units is highly needed so that the public services we provide remain excellent. Through this event, we hope the solidarity built can support correctional duties that are more accountable and professional," said Novriadi.
Similar appreciation was expressed by the Head of the Class II LPKA of Pangkalpinang, Mustafa Kamaludin Simamora. He stated that the joint sports activity serves as a refreshing break amidst work routines, while also strengthening the bond of brotherhood among fellow correctional personnel in the Pangkalpinang region.
Through interactive activities like this, the staff of the Narcotics Prison and LPKA Pangkalpinang commit to continuously improving the quality of organizational performance. With physical fitness and solid coordination, both institutions are optimistic about providing much more optimal rehabilitation services to both the community and the inmates.
