Ora Aji Islamic Boarding School (Ponpes) in Yogyakarta is preparing to hold its 14th Anniversary (Harlah) celebration, packed with festive events spanning over two weeks, from July 5 to 20, 2026. Under the theme "14 Years of Unconditional Service", the celebration is designed to unite various elements of society through a blend of sports, arts, culture, religious activities, and popular entertainment.
The excitement will kick off with the Ora Aji Cup and Ora Aji Volleyball Cup sports competitions from July 5 to 13, 2026, at the Ora Aji Mini Soccer Field. The tournaments will bring together representatives from various Islamic boarding schools across the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY), Central Java, and East Java to strengthen community bonds. Following this, a spiritual atmosphere will be presented through the Banjari Festival on July 17, followed by the Mujahadah Dzikirul Ghofilin and the National Sholawat on the evening of July 18.
In addition to religious activities, the anniversary celebration also invites the public to adopt a healthy lifestyle through a mass Fun Walk on Sunday morning, July 19, 2026. In the evening, the cultural stage at Temanggal Field will showcase the Indonesian Cultural Works performance titled "Sulleho", a show that blends modern entertainment with the preservation of Nusantara traditions.
To wrap up the series of events, the GeMa Merah Putih Concert will be held on Monday evening, July 20, 2026. The concert, scheduled at Temanggal Field, will feature popular musicians such as Denny Caknan and NDX AKA. This 14th anniversary celebration reinforces the commitment of Ponpes Ora Aji as an inclusive collaborative space for students (santri), artists, and the general public in Yogyakarta.
