Global life sciences company Bayer has officially announced the appointment of Simon Rosof as Head of Asia Pacific for its Pharmaceuticals Division. This strategic decision, effective July 1, 2026, bases Rosof in Singapore, where he will also hold a dual role as Country Division Head for the ASEAN cluster to lead business operations and market penetration in Southeast Asia.
This new leadership move comes at a crucial momentum for the Asia-Pacific region, which is increasingly becoming the epicenter of global healthcare transformation. With a population exceeding 2.6 billion, the region exhibits rapid healthcare system growth dynamics and a surge in demand for innovative and affordable medical therapies.
Prior to being appointed to lead the Asia-Pacific region, Simon Rosof built a career spanning more than two decades in the pharmaceutical industry. His leadership portfolio includes strategic positions such as Senior Vice President and Head of Product & Pipeline for Bayer Pharmaceuticals in the United States, where he successfully spearheaded the commercialization of medicines across Oncology, Cardiovascular, Renal, and Women's Healthcare sectors.
Bayer Pharmaceuticals Chief Operating Officer, Sebastian Guth, expressed confidence that Rosof's track record in building high-performing teams and his deep understanding of global markets will be valuable assets. Rosof's leadership is expected to accelerate the company's mission to expand access to cutting-edge treatments for people across the Asia-Pacific region.
