Indonesia is taking a strategic step in expanding the reach of its national industry by becoming the Official Partner Country at the INNOPROM 2026 event. The international industrial exhibition, held in Yekaterinburg, Russia, is being leveraged by the government as a gateway to explore investment opportunities, co-production manufacturing development, and technology transfer to the Eurasian regional market.
Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita emphasized that Indonesia's participation is a tangible commitment to boosting manufacturing competitiveness on the global stage. This step is expected to strengthen long-term partnership networks that are not only trade-oriented but also focused on strengthening domestic industrial capacity.
In an effort to maximize this potential, the government is bringing 50 co-exhibitors from various strategic sectors, ranging from agro-industry, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, to advanced engineering. The entire Indonesian delegation will occupy a 1,512-square-meter pavilion designed as a showcase of technological capabilities and investment opportunities for investors and international business players from 60 participating countries.
Director General of KPAII at the Ministry of Industry, Tri Supondy, added that the government's main focus is the post-event realization of cooperation. "We are not just pursuing business meetings on-site, but ensuring sustainability in the form of real investment and manufacturing projects that provide significant added value to the national economy," he explained.
The Russian side welcomed Indonesia's presence as a strategic partner in Southeast Asia. Russian Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, Alexei Gruzdev, assessed that the designation of Indonesia as the main partner in this exhibition reflects the close economic relations between the two countries. This synergy is projected to be a catalyst for more dynamic manufacturing industry growth in the future.
