PT Bank KB Indonesia Tbk (KB Bank) revealed its strategic steps in facing the increasingly competitive national banking industry. The company has chosen to move away from conventional approaches and transition into a trusted partner for customers through comprehensive business solutions.
President Director of KB Bank, Kunardy Darma Lie, explained that the company's main focus is currently targeting the wholesale and corporate segments through an ecosystem-based strategy. In this way, KB Bank seeks to embrace the entire business chain, from producers, suppliers, to distributors, to become part of their banking service ecosystem.
On the other hand, KB Bank also continues to optimize the retail segment through product diversification, such as pension loans, mortgages, payroll services, and the optimization of the Mobile Integrated Mobile Bank (BKTM) network. This innovation is aimed at reaching communities in areas with limited access to formal banking services.
Wholesale Director of KB Bank, Widodo Suryadi, added that financial service integration is now the main key. The bank is no longer just focusing on credit disbursement, but providing a comprehensive suite of solutions such as cash management, trade finance, treasury, and supply chain financing for corporate clients.
As a concrete manifestation, KB Bank has implemented this strategy in the hospital ecosystem in the Greater Jakarta (Jabodetabek) area. Through this strategic partnership, the bank not only provides financing support, but also manages financial operations, the BPJS payment system, and healthcare worker payroll. KB Bank reiterated its commitment to continue replicating this model across various strategic sectors to support sustainable national economic growth.
