BPJS Kesehatan is fully committed to ensuring equitable access to health insurance by launching an initiative called Layanan Ujung Negeri (LANURI). This program targets communities in the frontier, outermost, and disadvantaged (3T) regions through two main mechanisms, namely the Virtual Office for Information and Administration Services (VIOLA) and a proactive mobile system through BPJS Keliling.
President Director of BPJS Kesehatan, Prihati Pujowaskito, stated that this policy is part of the board of directors' 100-day work program target to address geographical challenges and the limitations of digital infrastructure in remote parts of the country. Through VIOLA, residents can conduct consultations, manage administration, and submit complaints directly via video conferencing facilities available at strategic locations such as community health centers (Puskesmas), village offices, and schools.
Data shows that from January to May 2026, the utilization of VIOLA services reached 218,729 transactions. The majority of users are participants of the National Health Insurance Contribution Assistance Recipients (PBI JK) who require informational assistance or data updates at Primary Healthcare Facilities (FKTP).
To optimize the implementation of LANURI in 558 district/city points, BPJS Kesehatan has established strategic collaborations with various parties. The Ministry of Cooperatives supports the initiative through the utilization of the Merah Putih Village Cooperative network, while the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) provides support by deploying personnel in the field and using military health facilities to facilitate the medical needs of communities on remote islands.
Prihati emphasized that this initiative is designed to overcome barriers of inefficient service access for those who are geographically distant from branch offices. With the board of directors' performance achievement reaching 91.53 percent in the 100-day work program, BPJS Kesehatan is optimistic that the integration of digital and face-to-face services will improve the quality and speed of healthcare services nationwide.
