The management board of the Indonesian Roller Skating Sport Association (Perserosi) of Malang City for the 2025–2029 term was officially inaugurated by the Vice Chairman of East Java Perserosi, Priyo Sudibyo, at the Savana Hotel, Malang City, on Tuesday (7/7/2026). In the new organizational structure, Erman Hernadi was once again entrusted to lead the organization as General Chairman.
Erman emphasized that the main focus of his administration is to strengthen the athlete development ecosystem in order to achieve even greater accomplishments. A specific target has been set, namely winning seven gold, five silver, and two bronze medals at the 2027 East Java Provincial Sports Week (Porprov), which will be held in Surabaya. This target represents a significant increase compared to their achievements in the 2023 edition.
To realize this target, Erman highlighted the crucial need for adequate training facilities, especially the renovation of the Sawojajar Velodrome. He hopes for full support from the Malang City Government to accelerate the facility's renovation process so that athletes can train optimally.
In response, the Mayor of Malang, Wahyu Hidayat, assured that his administration continues to communicate intensively with the East Java Provincial Government as the asset owner of the Velodrome. Despite budget mechanism constraints, the Malang City Government is committed to completing the coordination process so that the management of the facility can be maximized soon for the benefit of the athletes.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by several important officials from the Malang City Government, including the Head of Disporapar (Youth, Sports, and Tourism Office), representatives of KONI, and other relevant officials. The synergy between the local government and sports organization leaders is expected to elevate the prestige of Malang City's roller skating athletes at both national and international levels.
