The Bogor City Government (Pemkot) is taking significant steps to modernize the region's sports infrastructure. One of the main focuses of this development is the comprehensive revitalization of the Pajajaran Sports Arena (GOR), a historic sports facility that has become an icon of Bogor City but has never undergone major renovation since it was first built back in 1982.
The project to improve this iconic facility was initiated under the leadership of Bogor Mayor Dedie A. Rachim and Deputy Mayor Jenal Mutaqin. This strategic step aims to transform Pajajaran GOR into a sports center that is more representative, modern, and able to meet the needs of changing times, both for professional athletes and the general public.
The presence of this updated facility is expected to strengthen the sports ecosystem in the "Rain City". In addition to being a training ground for nurturing high-achieving local athletes, more adequate facilities are also expected to stimulate active participation and increase public awareness in implementing a healthy lifestyle.
