The Bengkulu Regional Police (Polda) reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the development of the regional sports sector. This commitment was demonstrated by the presence of the Deputy Chief of the Bengkulu Regional Police (Wakapolda), Brigadier General Prianto Teguh Nugroho, S.I.K., M.H., at the official launch of the Assisted Athletes of the National Sports Committee of Indonesia (KONI) Bengkulu Province, held at the Wilo Hotel Bengkulu on Sunday afternoon (8/2/2026).
The presence of the leadership of the Bengkulu Regional Police represents concrete support from the police in strengthening synergy with stakeholders to advance the sports climate in Bumi Raflesia. This important agenda was also attended by the General Chairperson of Bengkulu Province KONI, Teuku Zulkarnain, representatives of the Bengkulu Province Youth and Sports Agency (Dispora), the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda), as well as administrators of sports branches, coaches, and assisted athletes.
In his speech, the General Chairperson of Bengkulu Province KONI, Teuku Zulkarnain, explained that the launch of this development program is a strategic step to prepare the best sports delegates. Through structured training, athletes are expected to have mature mental and physical preparation to achieve the best results at regional and national levels.
In line with this, the Deputy Chief of Bengkulu Regional Police, Brigadier General Prianto Teguh Nugroho, also appreciated KONI's consistency in nurturing local talent sustainably. He emphasized the importance of discipline and hard work as the main foundation for achieving success in the sports world, while hoping that the athletes can become role models for the youth of Bengkulu.
