Police officers from the Samapta Unit of the North Kuta Police, in collaboration with the Samapta Unit of the Badung Police, conducted a large-scale joint patrol along the Batu Bolong tourist area, Canggu, on Sunday (4/7/2026) early morning. This preventive measure focused on securing the area around nightlife venues as patrons began leaving the location at 03.30 WITA.
The operation, led by First Inspector I Gede Artawan, combed through crowded hot spots, including main routes, parking areas, and entry and exit access for tourists. The presence of personnel on the ground aims to minimize potential conflicts between patrons, criminal acts, and to ease traffic congestion that often occurs when venue operating hours end.
North Kuta Police Chief, Police Commissioner I Ketut Sukadana, emphasized that this routine patrol is part of the police force's commitment to maintaining comfort for both tourists and local residents. In addition to ensuring order, officers in the field actively provided traffic safety education, including sympathetic warnings to users of non-standard exhausts and drivers violating traffic rules.
On the other hand, the patrol team also carried out intensive coordination with venue management and internal security teams. This step was taken so that the outflow of patrons could be managed in waves to prevent mass crowding at a single point.
These police efforts received positive appreciation from business owners and residents around the Batu Bolong area. The presence of officers is considered crucial in creating a sense of security during vulnerable hours, ensuring that Canggu's positive image as a safe and favorable tourist destination is maintained.
