The Maluku Regional Police (Polda Maluku) distributed aid in the form of sports equipment to youth groups in Leihitu District, Central Maluku Regency. This initiative is part of a series of events commemorating the 80th Bhayangkara Day, aimed at engaging the younger generation through persuasive and collaborative approaches.

The handover ceremony took place at the Leihitu Sector Police Headquarters on Sunday (12/7/2026). The assistance was symbolically presented to youth representatives from Wakal Village, Hitu Mesing Village, and Hitu Lama Village. The event was attended by Maluku Police Chief, Inspector General Dadang Hartanto, accompanied by Deputy Police Chief Brigadier General Arif Budiman, along with senior officers of Polda Maluku and local community leaders.

In his address, Inspector General Dadang Hartanto emphasized that sports are a crucial instrument in shaping strong youth character while serving as a medium to channel energy into more productive avenues. He expressed hope that this assistance would inspire the youth to achieve accomplishments while strengthening fraternal bonds among residents.

Furthermore, the Police Chief stressed that creating a safe and orderly community environment cannot be borne solely by the police force. He invited all elements, including local government, traditional leaders, and youth organizations, to continuously build synergy to foster a conducive environment and keep the younger generation away from negative actions.

The youth receiving the aid enthusiastically welcomed the support from the Maluku Regional Police. The provided sports facilities are expected to be optimally utilized to strengthen youth development agendas at the village level. In addition to the aid handover, the series of activities, which was part of the "Safety Riding Wisata Rally Club," concluded with a door prize distribution session for participants, which proceeded orderly under strict police security.
