The East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Regional Police recently achieved a proud milestone by securing two records from the Indonesian World Records Museum (MURI). This achievement was earned through the implementation of a large-scale mental health therapy program utilizing the Ultimate The Source Body, Mind, Soul Emotional Freedom Technique (USEFT) method.
Since its launch on June 12, 2026, this innovative program has successfully reached 11,663 participants, including police personnel and members of the general public across the NTT region. The therapy sessions were distributed across 22 working units within the NTT Regional Police, reflecting the institution's commitment to reaching a broad audience.
MURI Operations Director, Yusuf Ngadri, revealed that the award was granted not merely based on the number of participants. According to him, the NTT Regional Police's courage in pioneering mental health services for both internal police forces and the public served as a crucial added value. This innovation was deemed to have a tangible impact on the psychological well-being of many individuals.
This initiative stemmed from an understanding of the high level of psychological stress frequently faced by police personnel in performing their service duties. By incorporating the community into the program, the NTT Regional Police hope to raise public awareness while providing more inclusive and equitable access to mental health support at the local level.
