The grand event of the 2026 Bojonegoro Regency Sports Week (Porkab) II has officially closed. The solemn closing ceremony held at Pendopo Malowopati on Friday (7/10/2026) was led directly by the Regent of Bojonegoro, Setyo Wahono, and attended by regional government officials as well as representatives of KONI and relevant sports branches.
This event was not merely a competition, but also a benchmark for the effectiveness of sports development at the sub-district level. The success of this Porkab is evident from the increasingly even distribution of achievements among sub-district contingents, indicating that the training pattern for young athletes has begun to run more systematically and extensively compared to previous periods.
Vice Chairman of KONI Bojonegoro Regency, Tonny Ade Irawan, positively welcomed this achievement. According to him, the increasing competitiveness across various sub-districts is a strong indicator that the sports ecosystem in Bojonegoro is on the right track to producing superior talent.
Furthermore, Tonny emphasized that Porkab serves as a crucial platform for local athletes to hone their skills in a competitive arena. This experience is projected as an initial step for athletes to advance to higher levels of achievement, both at the provincial and national levels.
