The Department of Animal Husbandry, Animal Health and Fisheries (DPKHP) of Cianjur Regency is now increasingly proactive in providing health services for pets. This initiative is not only carried out on working days at the department's office, but is also expanded to public spaces, including during Car Free Day (CFD) on Jalan Abdullah Bin Nuh and Jalan Raya Cipanas.

The Head of DPKHP Cianjur, Iwan Setiawan, explained that this program is part of the events welcoming Cianjur's 349th Anniversary. The services provided include routine health checks, vitamin administration, rabies vaccination, to castration or neutering procedures free of charge. This step was taken as a concrete effort by the local government to prevent the spread of zoonotic diseases, such as rabies, which have the potential to be transmitted to humans.

In addition to providing proactive services, DPKHP Cianjur remains prepared with medical teams and veterinarians to respond quickly if rabies cases are found in certain areas. The public is urged to care more about the health of their pets by regularly utilizing the facilities provided by the government.

Although the services are free, Iwan reminded that there are limitations regarding the availability of medicines. For specific medical cases that require special handling, such as Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disease (FLUTD) in cats, the department will provide a prescription to the owner so that the medicine can be purchased independently at pharmacies or related veterinary medicine stores.
