The Bone Regency sepak takraw team successfully achieved a brilliant feat by clinching the gold medal at the 2026 PGRI South Sulawesi Sports, Arts, and Learning Week (Porsenijar). The confirmation of this title was achieved after the athletes performed consistently and strongly throughout the competition, which took place at the Sepak Takraw Court, Ganggawa Stadium Complex, Sidrap, from July 2 to 4, 2026.

The presentation of the gold medal was conducted directly by the Regent of Sidrap, Syaharuddin Alrif, on Saturday (4/7/2026). In the match, Takalar Regency had to settle for the silver medal, while the third-place position or bronze medal was shared by teams from Bantaeng Regency and the Selayar Islands.

Regent Syaharuddin Alrif expressed his deep appreciation for the spirit of sportsmanship shown by all contingents. He hopes that this event will not only nurture talented sports prospects but also serve as a strategic means to strengthen the bonds of brotherhood among educators throughout the South Sulawesi region.

On the other hand, the manager of the Bone Regency team, Rusyaid, expressed his deep gratitude for the success of his team. He stated that this gold medal was the fruit of the long dedication and hard work put in by all team members from the preparation phase through to the end of the tournament.

In addition to the technical achievements on the field, Rusyaid specifically praised Sidrap's role as the host. According to him, the service provided by the committee was highly satisfying, complemented by the warmth of the local residents who made the contingents feel warmly welcomed. He hopes that the success of this Porsenijar can serve as a stepping stone for Sidrap to host larger-scale events in the future.
