The Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) of Bandung City launched an enforcement operation targeting several nightlife venues (THM) and alcoholic beverage shops operating illegally. This decisive action was taken following violations of the Bandung Mayor's Circular regarding the temporary closure of tourism businesses during the 2026 religious holiday period.
During the operation on Monday (15/6/2026) night, officers targeted several points in the Talaga Bodas and Mohammad Toha areas. In the Talaga Bodas area, officers caught an entertainment venue still active and immediately ordered the management to cease operations. The identity of the person in charge was secured for further investigation at the Satpol PP office.
In addition to targeting nightlife venues, a joint team consisting of Satpol PP, TNI, and Polri also searched shops selling liquor. In the Jalan Mohammad Toha area, officers found an alcoholic beverage shop operating without an official permit. A total of 28 bottles of alcoholic beverages were confiscated as evidence, and the shop was immediately sealed by officers.
Head of Bandung City Satpol PP, Bambang Sukardi, emphasized that this step is a form of enforcing Regional Regulation Number 9 of 2019 concerning Public Order, Tranquility, and Community Protection. He stressed the importance of business compliance as a form of respect for religious holidays and an effort to maintain the city's conduciveness.
Satpol PP assured that supervision will continue to be tightened throughout the Bandung City area. Business actors violating the provisions are urged to be cooperative during the summons process by investigators, to ensure that all business activities in this city run in accordance with applicable regulations.
