The Batang Regency Government officially expressed high appreciation for the work of the North Batang Entertainment Community (KOEMBARA), which has now reached its ten-year milestone. Throughout its decade-long journey, the community is considered to have successfully transformed into an important pillar for the creative economy while serving as a strategic partner for the local government in communicating development messages.
The appreciation was conveyed by the Acting (Plt) Head of the Batang Communication and Information Office, Puji Setiyowati, during KOEMBARA's 10th anniversary celebration held festively at the Klidang Wetan Village Field, Batang District, on Sunday (7/5/2026). According to Puji, KOEMBARA's success in maintaining its existence over a decade is concrete proof of the professionalism and solidarity of local artists.
"For ten years, KOEMBARA has proven that its role is not just as an entertainment provider. They are drivers of the creative economy who help maintain the dignity of performing arts to remain healthy and relevant in society," Puji stated on the sidelines of the event.
In addition to artistic performance, the Batang Regency Government also praised the humanistic side of the community. The anniversary celebration was not merely marked by festivities, but was also filled with social action in the form of assistance for orphans. This step is considered to reflect high social concern, a value expected to be maintained by all community members.
Facing future challenges, Puji emphasized the importance of digital innovation for artists. She hopes that KOEMBARA can continue to enhance creativity and the quality of their work to adapt to technological developments. Furthermore, the community is expected to synergize in promoting regional tourism potential so that Batang Regency's appeal becomes more widely known to tourists.
Echoing these sentiments, the Chairman of the KOEMBARA Anniversary Committee, Herman, stated that this one-decade momentum serves as a turning point to strengthen brotherhood among art practitioners throughout Batang Regency. He hopes that moving forward, the community can continue to deliver a positive impact on the artistic and social ecosystem in the North Batang region in a sustainable manner.
