The Student Organization Capacity Strengthening Program (PPK Ormawa) team of the IMM Faculty of Public Health (FKM) at Ahmad Dahlan University (UAD) has once again strengthened the "HAMEMAYU WARASING DESA" program. This step was realized through intensive training for health cadres at the Caturharjo Village Hall, Bantul, on Saturday (27/6/2026).
The activity was attended by local village officials and the supervising lecturer, Drs. Hadi Sasongko, M.Si., who emphasized the importance of mastering the technical aspects of health measurement tools. A deep understanding of medical devices is considered crucial as a primary foundation for the early detection of Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) at the grassroots level.
During the training session, the students directly guided the practical use of various diagnostic tools, ranging from anthropometric measurements such as weight and height, to testing devices for glucose, cholesterol, uric acid levels, and blood pressure monitors. The active participation of the trainees in independent simulations successfully improved their technical competence, which was measured by comparing pre-test and post-test results.
In addition to technical training, the student team also introduced the "JATI WARAS Card" as an innovative instrument. This card is specially designed to facilitate the systematic recording of screening results and to assist cadres in mapping the health risk factors of residents more accurately and in an integrated manner.
Through this cross-sector collaboration, it is hoped that the cadres in Caturharjo will have greater independence and confidence in providing preventive health services to the wider community. This sustainable synergy represents a tangible commitment by the UAD academic community to support the health standards of rural communities.
