The Bali Regional Police held a Technical Guidance (Bimtek) session for the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Function for the year 2026 at the Grand Santhi Hotel, Denpasar, on Friday (31/7). This strategic step aims to hone personnel's ability to adapt to digital technological advancements in order to optimize police performance in the field.
This agenda was officially opened by the Head of the ICT Department of the Bali Regional Police, Police Senior Commissioner I Komang Budiartha, S.I.K., and attended by ICT function personnel from the regional police (Polda) to resort police (Polres) levels. This activity is designed as a coordination forum to align perceptions, improve the quality of human resources (HR), and strengthen the synergy of information system management within the regional police.
In his directives, Police Senior Commissioner I Komang Budiartha explained that the training materials covered information technology development, optimization of communication infrastructure, and strengthening cybersecurity systems as part of the acceleration of the Indonesian National Police's (Polri) digital transformation. He hopes that this training can be directly implemented so that public services become faster, more efficient, and modern.
Apart from being a means to increase HR capacity towards precise and adaptive police services, this event was also coupled with a farewell and welcome ceremony for the Head of the Bali Regional Police's ICT Department. This leadership transition moment is expected to continue the relay of technological innovation while strengthening the foundation of digital-based police services in Bali.
