The healthcare sector in Indonesia, particularly in Bali, is now taking a step further into the era of diagnostic digitalization. Shealth AI, a Dubai-based health tech company, has recently initiated a series of strategic discussions with various stakeholders to integrate artificial intelligence (AI) technology into local hospital service systems. This move is seen as aligned with the national health transformation vision through the Satu Sehat platform.
During a meeting held in Denpasar on Friday (10/07/2026), the Bali Tourism Medical Association (BTMA) welcomed this initiative. The Chairman of BTMA, Dr. I Gede Wiryana Patra Jaya, M.Kes., emphasized that this collaboration is part of a major effort to turn hospitals in Bali into smart healthcare facilities capable of competing on the global medical tourism stage.
Shealth AI emphasized that their primary focus is not to replace medical personnel, but rather to serve as a supporting partner providing faster, standardized diagnostic solutions. Through AI-based radiology technology, doctors are expected to deliver more precise diagnoses, which will ultimately enhance hospital operational efficiency while providing greater comfort for both patients and tourists.
As a concrete form of commitment, Shealth AI has signed a memorandum of understanding with the BTMA. In addition, they are intensifying communication with the Ministry of Health as well as the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs to ensure that all developed systems comply with national regulations, including strict data governance to safeguard the sovereignty of Indonesian public health information.
The presence of this technology is expected to strengthen Indonesia's inclusive healthcare ecosystem. With global technology standards brought by Shealth AI, it is hoped that accessibility to high-quality medical services will be evenly increased, so that the benefits of a smart, data-driven healthcare system can be widely experienced by the community.
