The Regency Government of Bone, South Sulawesi, continues its efforts to improve the quality and accessibility of healthcare services for its community. This concrete step was realized through a strategic meeting with the Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) of the Republic of Indonesia in Jakarta to discuss accelerating development and strengthening medical facilities in the region.
The Bone Regency Government delegation was led directly by the Vice Regent of Bone, Dr. H. Andi Akmal Pasluddin, S.P., M.M. During the working visit held at the Indonesian Ministry of Health Building on Wednesday (22/7/2026), he was accompanied by the Acting Head of the Bone Regency Health Office as well as the board of directors of Tenriawaru Regional General Hospital (RSUD) and Datu Pancaitana RSUD.
The meeting was warmly welcomed by the Secretary General of the Indonesian Ministry of Health, Kunta Wibawa Dasa Nugraha, S.E., M.A., Ph.D., along with several other high-ranking Ministry of Health officials. During this audience, Andi Akmal presented a number of strategic proposals, ranging from increasing regional hospital capacity, fulfilling medical equipment and infrastructure, to budget support from the central government.
According to Andi Akmal, close collaboration with the central government is the key to accelerating the transformation of the health sector in Bone Regency. His administration is committed to continuously improving the quality of services through upgrading physical infrastructure and sustainably strengthening the quality of health human resources (HR).
Responding to these aspirations, Secretary General of Kemenkes Kunta Wibawa appreciated the initiative of the Bone Regency Government. The Ministry of Health emphasized the importance of program synergy between the central and regional governments so that the allocation of medical assistance is well-targeted and effectively answers the crucial needs of the community at the local level.
