Actress and singer Ussy Sulistiawaty has officially announced the closure of her culinary business, Nasi Bejeg Wijaya. This difficult decision was made after she discovered dishonorable actions by an internal individual seeking personal gain by illegally exploiting the trademark.
Ussy expressed her disappointment over the incident. According to her, the person involved went as far as creating cooperation contracts behind the other owners' backs for personal financial gain. This proved to be a turning point that prompted Ussy to re-evaluate her current involvement in the culinary business world.
"For now, I have decided not to open any business. I need time to calm down and reflect deeply on what has happened," Ussy stated in her statement. She also emphasized that while money is a crucial element, maintaining integrity and bonds of brotherhood is far more valuable than mere material gain.
On the same occasion, Ussy conveyed her apologies to her other business partners. She ensured that the decision to permanently close the outlet was mutually agreed upon so that no party feels aggrieved in the future. As a matter of fairness, all owners agreed not to use the Nasi Bejeg Wijaya recipe or menu in the future.
The closure of Nasi Bejeg Wijaya adds to the long list of Ussy's culinary businesses that have ceased operations, following Bakoel Ussy, Lurik Coffee & Kitchen, and Yummieeh Ussy. Nevertheless, Ussy remains committed to maintaining good ties with her business associates, even though their professional collaboration has officially come to an end.
